Providing Hair Samples

Please have clean hair before taking the hair samples, thank you.

If you are familiar with your colour and know the colour number from any particular colour ring then give us the information and we will start your order after receiving your template. (See Templates).

If your hair IS NOT the same colour all over then it is necessary to provide large hair samples, usually 2 hair samples should be provided when completing our Client Details Form.

If your hair is the same colour all over then it is necessary to trim enough hair to fill one box only on the Client Details Form.

Two hair samples are required from male clients. The areas to take the hair samples from are labelled on the glass mannequin below; above the ear, and at the back.

Summary before you start:

Larger hair samples are better – snip as much as you can (see hair sample size picture above).
The hair sample must be clean. Dirty hair does not show its true colour.
If you wish uniform colour throughout the hair system and your hair colour is fairly uniform, take hair samples from both sides and back, mixing them together as you go.
For graying temples, take hair samples from each side and back, keeping them separate, and tape them to into appropriate boxes on the Client Details Form.

Taking samples of your existing hair:

Lift your existing hair in the area specified on the diagram above. Cut many small samples of your hair at the scalp in that area next to the head using sharp scissors.
Take three small hair samples, and try not to blunt cut. With the sharp scissors razor the area. Hold the hair firmly at the tip and at the root, then with the blade move up and down the shaft of the hairs. This is simple so don’t be scared, you or your helper can do this.
Lay each hair sample on the box marked for that area on the Client Details Form. The hair sample amount should be equivalent to the example picture provided on the right here.
Leave the hair at its full length with the root ends at the top end of the box.
Secure the hair for this particular hair sample area with scotch tape.
Put the hair samples for area 1 and 2 in the marked boxes provided. If you have taken hair samples from other areas then place those hair samples in the alternative boxes and indicate if you want the hair texture and color to be matched in these areas, or just the hair colour.
If you have NO hair for some areas due to the amount of hair loss, the hair samples provided will be enough to uniform your hair system's colour and density.
If you do not have any hair at the front, top, or crown area, you can select the colour for those areas from the hair samples that you are able to provide. On the Client Details Form indicate which hair samples should be used for those areas that you don’t have existing hair by using arrows pointing from actual hair samples to empty sample boxes.

By providing us with a Template and Hair Samples you will be able to fully customise any hair system that you order from hair4all. Also, we are better able to apply our experience to your needs and your hair systems if we have a Template and Hair Samples.

- We match the relevant shaft volume and texture from hair samples that you provide us and produce a hair system with an exact match to your own existing hair.
- You could have one or may be three types of donor hair blended into your hair system. It all depends on the hair sample provided. Trust us to match your hair samples as we do it every day with the emphasis that the hair system should look no different to your natural hair before hair loss.
- The price of the different types of hair can be different as this depends on supply and demand. Hair prices per ounce do change, but unless it is a SIGNIFICANT increase we do not pass this onto our sale price.
