Men’s hair systems for the African male are no different to males of other descents, except for the hair colour, texture, and the base (which should be a darker colour to allow for the type of skin). Choosing a hair system for men is simple, all we need is a template and hair sample. You can choose the foundation for a custom design or simply choose a pre-custom design.

African women have been braiding and weaving their hair into beautiful designs for hundreds of years, but the methods do cause traction to the hair shaft and ultimately the hair follicle. This can cause a form of hair loss called ‘traction alopecia’. The pressure of the attachment pulls on the hair follicle until the hair follicle simply stops growing new hair.

Custom orders for African women

If the area of hair loss is small, a template and a hair sample is needed. If the client's sample is not of the quality that she would desire, our ‘Yaki’ hair will be used to give the most natural look available today.
