hair4all HAIR REPLACEMENT - CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
The following are actual testimonials submitted by clients of hair4all:
I've had nothing but compliments (and some nasty jealous looks - which are even better than compliments!), so I'm pretty thrilled. I love the texture of the hair... now that I am wearing it I think it is even more convincing as relaxed African hair than a lot of the "weaves" I'm seeing around.
So thank you Phil, this is one satisfied customer!

I have been wearing one of hair4all's hair systems for the past 3 months and I can honestly say that Phil and Susan came into my life at exactly the right moment!! They have given me back a confidence that I thought I had lost forever. I started to lose my hair 7 yrs ago, following the birth of my second child. It started off as small patches about the size of a 5p piece. A larger patch at the nape of my neck followed which was ok because I could easily keep it covered. I then started to lose my hair on the top of my head, which, with a lot of hairspray, I could hide it quite easily, or so I thought!!
I was at work one day when a colleague stood over me, pointed to my bald patch and said, "Oh, you have a problem!". I was mortified!! I left work that day and hotfooted it to Claire's Accessories to stock up on hairslides. I then spent that evening in tears, trying to arrange these slides into my hair to cover the patch, but at the same time, I wanted to avoid looking like a 5 yr old girl!! This was how I wore my hair for the next few years. I started by wearing 3 hairslides, but as my patch was growing all the time, by summer 2007, I was wearing 8!! I stopped enjoying going out and socialising.
My turning point came in summer 2007, when I was holiday in Spain with my family and some close friends. We stayed in a posh hotel and most evenings I had to go to dinner wearing a hat. I was extemely embarrassed and felt that people were staring at me. My family and friends assured me that no-one was staring, but to be honest I felt a mess and I'm sure I looked it too!!
When we returned from our holiday, I decided that enough was enough and I needed to look for some help. I trawled the internet and hair4all was one of the first sites that I looked at. I sent them an enquiry form, which was answered staight away. Phil and Susan travelled to my house to meet with me. As soon as they walked in I felt at ease, beacause they were so friendly. They really are 2 of the nicest people that you could wish to meet! They both listened as I told them my history and all the time, Phil was lookind closely at my hair. They then discussed with me what hair system would be best for me. Phil asked me for my opinion but I said that I would trust his judgement and let him make the final decision. They then took a template of my head and some hair samples.
The hair system took a few weeks to come but it was definately worth the wait!! Phil and Susan came out to help me with the first fitting because I was so nervous about the whole thing. I kept thinking, "What if it doesn't fit?", "What if I don't like it?", "What if I look really daft?".
I needn't have worried at all because as soon as it was fitted I felt fantastic!!! It fits perfectly and the hair colour has been matched to my existing hair colour perfectly.
I made an appointment with my hair stylist to get it cut into the style that I wanted. When I walked into his salon, he asked me where it was. When I told him that I was wearing it, he couldn't believe what he was seeing!! He has been hairdressing for more than 20 years, has won competitions, and he said that he has never seen anything like it before.
I have been very lucky throughout my suffering of alopecia because I have had tremendous support from my family, friends and work colleagues. A few of my friends were moved to tears when they first saw me with my new hair. My husband has been wonderful and he is the one who fits my hairpiece when it needs changing. I have 2 hairpieces so that I can alternate them. To start off with, my husband took quite a while to fit it correctly, but he can now do it in about 5 minutes! Each hairpiece can stay on for about a week at a time and with the tape that I use, it stays on securely for the whole time. I wash and condition my hairpiece along with the rest of my hair without taking it off. It really is fab!!!
To anyone thinking of giving hair4all a try-out, my advice would be to go for it!! Phil and Susan are amazing people and I thank them from the bottom of my heart, for giving my life back!!!
Thank you. xx

I've been losing my hair since puberty and it became very noticeable in my early 20's. As a female it's more acceptable to experiment with hair so I tried a number of solutions, from perming my hair to create volume (does not work, yes it creates volume but it also lifts hair from the root showing even more scalp, not to mention the damage it causes to already thin hair) to different hair extensions systems (again, a waste of time as whatever bonding method used, be it glue, weaves etc....you need a decent amount of hair in the first place to sufficiently cover the bonded extensions underneath - my hair was to thin to do this).
I'd all but given up when I came across a company that provided a service whereby they could provide me with a 'unit' which was bonded to the roots of my own hair, eliminating the problem with traditional extensions. I would then come in to their salon every 6 weeks to have a 'regroom' where they would reattach the unit to account for natural hair growth. I spent a year with this company, and was moderately happy - after all, they had found me a solution and a year was the longest I've worn a unit or extensions (the others looked so awful I took them out within weeks!), but there were issues.
First was the expense. One unit cost around £1500, and then the 6 weekly regrooms were about £40 a time. But even more of an issue was having to fit these regrooms into my busy life. If I missed a regroom by a couple of weeks, you could really tell as some of the hairs in the unit would become matted and the unit itself would start to become 'loose' from my own hair as it had grown away from my scalp. I hated being a 'slave' to my hair. Another issue was the sheer amount of hair in the unit. As they are so expensive, the company would use a lot of hair to make them 'durable' and last for a couple of years, which is fine except that for the first 6 months I had to use almost half a bottle of serum every morning just to tame the hair!
Early in 2008 I started to look for other solutions, and came across hair4all. I filled out an enquiry form on their website and within hours Phil called me. He was professional, yet approachable and friendly. I think what really raised my interest was that he had gone through the same thought process as me. He had found other solutions but they were costly, the units were bulky and it also involved being a slave to someone else's availability. He had finally taken control by finding a way to make units that were cheaper, more natural looking and ultimately learning how to bond the hair himself. Over 3 months (and a ridiculous number of hours on the phone - Phil never made my calls feel unwanted) I learnt how to make my own accurate template, learnt about all the different types of materials used in different units with their pros and cons and also all the methods of bonding with their pros and cons. I learnt more in these three months about hair replacement then in a whole year with the previous company!
In June 2008 I received my two units (which cost roughly 50% of what one unit previously cost with the last company). I could tell from just touching them that they were a higher quality to what I'd previously had. I guess it goes to show that you never actually know something is substandard until you have something of a much higher standard to compare it to. My old unit now felt and looked like a 'wig' compared to the hair4all hair. Over the next two weeks I learnt how to bond to my own hair using the tape method, how to remove safely so as not to cause damage to the units or my own hair, and how to clean and care for the hair - all with a very willing Phil on the other end of the phone guiding me.
The ultimate thing for me is having a sense of control back. I still haven't finished learning. I'm toying with the idea of having one my units with clips which means I can just clip it on and take it off at nights if I wanted, leaving the other unit for tape bonding for longer periods (perhaps for weekends or a week away when I'm out and staying with friends and don't want to be 'taking off my hair' at the end of the night). Perhaps I might learn how to do permanent bonding that lasts for a month which may be ideal for long holidays in hot, humid climates. The great thing is that the possibilities are endless. I can choose how long I want to wear my hair for, when I remove it, when I wash it... it fits in with me. Previously, I couldn't even take the unit out of my hair even if I wanted to, as it was securely bonded on and I would need to arrange an appointment for a stylist to take it out. And I know that Phil is always at the other end of the phone, his support does not stop with delivery of your hair, it is ongoing. I'm still learning new things and I love it. And the comments I get for my hair are amazing. Not one person suspects I am wearing a unit. And the few people who know I wear a unit are amazed at how natural it looks, so much so that two friends who actually have no alopecia problems at all are considering getting a unit, just for fashion use!
My advice to anyone who iss perhaps wary of taking control (perhaps you've been with a hair replacement company for a long time) is to take the plunge and just call hair4all. There is no pressure, they will just simply give you more information than any other company is willing to give. Most hair replacement companies work in shroud of secrecy, not letting you in on bonding techniques, care techniques etc as by keeping you in the dark they can ensure you become a lifeling customer of theirs. hair4all are unique; even their website has a ridiculous amount of information, freely giving instructions on how to bond, care for your hair, make templates, etc, etc. Their honesty is refreshing and the fact that they all wear their own units and have taken control in doing their own hair makes you feel that you are with experts who can answer any questions you may have.
Thanks Phil and hair4all for giving me back control. xx

I started losing my hair around 18 years old and it was an ongoing struggle. I never even wanted to go to places that required you to take your hat off and I never felt really complete. Without my hat on, I felt less attractive, I felt like I couldn't be myself. Some might find that immature, but image is important, especially to someone who was only 18 years old at the time. This was a big concern in my life for many years.
Then I found out about hair replacement online and the concept was new to me. I always thought that I had to pay 1000's of dollars from some fancy salon in order to have good results. I remember talking to a retail hairloss salon about a small partial to cover my frontal hairline. They wanted 1500 dollars!! I walked out of the place feeling hopeless, until I started doing research online.
I found a bunch of online hair replacment sites, some looked very good, and others bootleg. I tried ordering a small partial online and I was very pleased with it, but as I started ordering more and more pieces from various vendors online, (although much better then getting ripped off at a salon), I became frustrated at times.
Ordering hair systems online saves you a lot of money and there are many companies that can make a decent looking system out there. But from my experience, what differentiates hair4all from the other companies are three key factors.
The 1st is reliablity. A lot of times when you order hair from online, the specifications are never right. So many times I had to wait MONTHS to get my system corrected. Either the color was off, the Unit was too dense, not enough hair, or the base size was wrong. hair4all always has sent me a great system the first time around and I have yet to be disappointed or needed to send anything back.
The 2nd reason why I am a hair4all client is because the hair quality is far superior to anything you will find on the web. They use genuine European unprocessed hair for a great price. This hair will last, it will not fade or oxidize and I have become a big fan of it and cannot go back. When I used to order my hair from other, cheaper vendors, the hair would only last a month or two if I was lucky. It would start turning orange and would get extremely frizzy that I had to throw the piece in the trash.
The 3rd reason I choose hair4all is because the people behind the operation are top notch and are always there to help you with any problem you incur. If you do ever have a problem, or are not satisfied you are in good hands.
I recommend hair4all to anyone, beginner or veteran hair wearer. All the veterans out there who have been at this game for a while will see the difference immediately. I urge you to give hair4all a spin..
