Base Materials for Hair Systems
The base of a hair replacement system is the foundation which sits directly onto your scalp and in turn acts as the source of hair. Specifying the correct base materials is essential for comfort, realism and durability.
We categorise our base materials into four main types (please click on the links or the images to learn more about each type). The materials used are the same for men's and women's hair systems.

Skin Hair Systems are made of a thin gas permeable co-polymer skin membrane. Individual strands of hair appear to be growing right out of your scalp. |

Lace Hair Systems use a stocking like material that is extremely hard to see when placed against the skin. The hair is knotted into the lace and appears to grow right out from the scalp. The frontal area creates a fabulous natural looking hairline. |

Conventional Hair Systems have a nylon base with polyurethane coated perimeters. These hair systems are extremely durable and easy to maintain, but only suitable for certain types of hair styles. |

Lace Front Hair Systems are a mixture of skin, lace and conventional materials. A lace front can be used to achieve a natural looking hairline and a more durable material can be used for the rest of the hair system. |
The life-span described for these hair systems is based solely on them looking natural to the eye. Anyone or any company that tells you different IS NOT telling you the truth!
Remember - the more natural the hair system looks then the more delicate it has to be!!! Most of our clients have two to three hair systems at any one time.
