- Which is the best hair type, Synthetic Hair or Human Hair?
Human Hair is exactly what it suggests, it is 'like your own', easy to maintain and looks completely natural. Hair processing techniques have improved dramatically in recent times and have surpassed the benefits that Synthetic Hair brought to the industry from a few years ago.
Synthetic blends mixed with human hair for greys or whites still have a major place in the make-up of this particular design.
- What is the difference between Synthetic Hair and hair4all’s Human Hair?
For starters, both types of hair can experience colour fading. Human Hair can be re -coloured while Synthetic Hair cannot. Sometimes, Synthetic Hair tends to turn fuzzy too fast. Synthetic Hair loses the body and can appear flat looking and must be steam waved every 6-8 weeks. Human Hair can be ordered with a wave up to 10mm or it can be permed. Grey and/or white Synthetic Hair makes a good blend with Human Hair for clients requiring this type of colour match. When the Human Hair is coloured it does not affect the percentage of grey/white which is in the hair system. Using this principle you can also use Synthetic Hair for other colours if you choose to.
hair4all recommends Human Hair for the natural look. All our hair systems use Human Hair, and Synthetic Hair is only used for grey/white colour blends. If you have any questions/comments/concerns about hair types then please email us.
- Can I colour my own non surgical hair replacement system?
Of course you can. In fact doing this sort of maintenance is what will help you to save a lot of money, take away your reliance on retail hair replacement studios, and see how easy it is to become self sufficient when it comes to your hair system.
If you prefer for a professional technician to take care of this concern then we recommend using the services of a local stylist (salon based or a mobile hairdresser).
If you or your local stylist want to practice then we recommend using an old hair system that you no longer use.

- Can you repair my existing hair replacement system, even though it was purchased from somewhere else?
If it is repairable, of course we will. Send us your hair replacement and we will quote you a price. Depending on the repair the cost ranges from £50-£100.
Note that this service can take time so please ensure you have other hair systems available to you for use.
- If I send in a favourite hair replacement, can you replicate it?
We can duplicate/replicate your favourite or existing hair replacement system exactly. That will not be a problem. Try us and put us to the test. Our factory will manufacture a clone for you at a fraction of the price paid before.
- How long will my hair replacement last?
This really depends on the hair system you order and if you wear the hair replacement permanently or semi-permanently. The life span of ALL hair replacement systems has limitations. Daily wear hair systems will last longer than extended wear hair systems because sleeping and showering while wearing them adds wear and tear. On average, our clients experience 6 months with the fragile lace hair replacement (an undetectable 6 months we must add). Our Monofilament perimeter base hair replacement can last between 12-15 months.
We recommend customers purchase two hair systems, so they can alternate them. This increases longevity as customers will clean and maintain their hair systems more often if they have more than one. Additional benefits are in the production of the hair system when ordering two. The specifications are there for the ventilator to make them side-by-side, identical. Also there is no panic if one hair system needs repairing or re-conditioning.
- What are the advantages of the Full Skin ‘C-Thru’ hair replacement systems?
The Full Skin Custom hair systems are unbelievably realistic. The hair is less dense because the skin foundation is light and flexible. Looking into the hair system when applied to your head it appears as if hair is growing right out of your scalp. The skin is transparent and clearly allows the hair wearer's skin colour to show through.
The hair systems can be worn with a Full Head bond, Perimeter bond, or Daily Tape wear.
The skin system is easy to manage, and looks incredibly natural.
- What are the benefits of a ‘Full Lace’ hair replacement system?
The obvious one to the naked eye is the natural effect that is created around the hairline. The James Dean look is achievable - 'now we are talking’. The brushed back off your face look, even tied in a pony-tail looks completely natural. A film to remember where a full lace was used is ‘Medicine Man’ where Sean Connery's hair looked amazing.
Another benefit is that lace enables your scalp to breathe clearly. This is helpful in humid or hot climates or even if you are working out at the gym.

- What is a Lace Front hair replacement system?
The Lace Front is a very thin type of material that is positioned on the front of the hair replacement system from temple-to-temple and goes back 3 inches. The lace is invisible to the eye and hair appears to be growing right out of the scalp, even under close up scrutiny.
The back is made with a perimeter so permanent wear or semi permanent is a choice of yours. A special tape is used for the front, simply known as Lace Tape. This tape holds strong and doesn’t reflect through the lace.
The lace is fragile and 'as a rule' needs replacing every 6 months. The client must treat it very gently. It is recommended that you purchase two hair systems for easy clean up, and to alternate the hair replacements monthly.
- How can you get my personal scalp dimensions through the post?
We need a template or an existing hair system (old ones preferred but we can use your current one and return it back to you using express delivery).
Firstly, every competitor of ours states that a making template is easy - this simply isn't true. It isn’t easy, it’s practically impossible to do it on your own, especially to precise measurements.
hair4all have made it as easy as possible with the customer service tools we provide. What we need from you is the knowledge that you will have help from another person. Perhaps your spouse, partner, brother, sister, parent(s), or best friend. Someone needs to help you and it is healthy to have a close person's support and opinion about your hair loss situation and what you have done about it.
We encourage this every working day and clients tell us time and time again that they feel much more comfortable when they have confided in someone (or a group) and they now have their support. Don't be shy or embarrased because if you look good then people will be amazed and admire you for doing something about a situation that bothers you.

- What makes a fantastic hair replacement system?
Understanding - So how does someone totally understand your hair loss concerns or situation? By being in it themselves. We at hair4all are in similar situations to yourself and actually wear our own hair systems. If our hair systems did not make us look like a person without hair loss then we would not be here. Remember, there are other people out there who do not have the understanding like we do.

Natural Appearance - The hair system needs to be totally natural looking. Choosing a Lace Front, Full Skin C-Thru, or an All Over Lace hair system will give this. A Conventional hair system with a Lace Front increases longevity whilst retaining an undetectable frontal hairline.
Replacement - As you have read, hair4all is a company that believes in honesty. We will not tell you a good looking hair replacement system will last you for years as this is simply not true. We could manufacture hair systems that would last 3 years, but they wouldn't look very good.
We believe that the consumer will be happy and stay happy with 'real' information, and once this has been evaluated the decision to become one of our happy and educated clients will be easy.
Remember, all hair systems wear in time. They are made as thin and delicate as possible to enhance their natural appearance. There is NO getting away from the fact that replacement and alternation is a must for the hair system that looks the most natural. It should all be about 'LOOKING NATURAL' - the hair system wearer should re-order before the hair system being used starts to wear thin.
