Hair Types Used In Hair Replacement

hair types used in hair replacement Hair samples received from our clients determine which hair type is the best to use for their individual hair system. We match your hair samples to ensure your hair replacement integrates with your natural hair.

We specialise in european unprocessed and remi hair types as they offer the best quality, colour retention and natural movement.

NOTE - WE GUARANTEE TO USE THE BEST HAIR TYPES IN OUR CUSTOM HAIR SYSTEMS. SOME COMPANIES OFFER VERY CHEAP HAIR SYSTEMS BY USING THE LOWEST GRADE MATERIALS (INCLUDING THE USE OF HEAVILY PROCESSED HAIR)

There are different hair types but they are offered in different grades. It is important to understand the processing of the hair because it affects the overall quality of the hair.

Let us look at the processing of hair first:

Processed Hair means the cuticle has been removed and colour work has been applied to match your Hair Samples. Over processing reduces the quality of the hair, but in all cases the hair cuticle is removed. The removal of the cuticle makes Processed Hair easier to ventilate into any type of hair system. This means any ventilator (person working to put hair into the hair system) can work with the hair.

Semi Processed Hair means the cuticle has been scraped but not removed. Not removing the cuticle means there is no friction when the hair lies in different directions. When ventilated correctly the hair system will have movement and freedom. More skilled and experienced ventilators are used with Semi Processed Hair.

Unprocessed Hair is by its very name, 'Unprocessed'. The hair has a full cuticle and no colour work is applied because the hair is matched to your Hair Samples. When ventilating, specialist knotting skills are used where the ends are looped in the same direction as the hair in the system. This enables the hair to move remarkably well with full freedom, like natural hair. Only the most experienced and skilled ventilators are used when working with Unprocessed Hair.

We do not offer Synthetic Hair Systems, but we use Synthetic Hair to provide colour blends for 'grays and whites' because the Synthetic Hair will not take up colour when the rest of the hair is dyed. However, we also offer gray and white human hair if you wish to use natural hair.

We use natural hair for highlights colours other than gray or white.
