NON SURGICAL HAIR REPLACEMENT

Most companies in our industry (internet and retail salons) will not openly tell you but we believe in honesty so don't be put off if you are new to non surgical hair replacement. They will give you all sorts of 'fluffy' descriptions using terms like integration, virtual reality, etc in order to avoid using the words like hairpiece, wig or toupee.

So firstly let's get to the point and tell you that non surgical hair replacement is a generic term used for hairpieces, wigs, toupees, strand-by-strand, skin systems, lace front wigs, etc, but we like to call them hair systems or hair replacement systems.

Stay with us and read the rest of this page before you make any expensive mistakes in trying other forms of hair loss treatments!!!

What is the difference between a wig, hairpiece, or toupee? As far as we know there is no difference except for the fact that hairpieces and toupees are usually associated to men, whereas wigs are associated to both men and women.

Historically, there is hardly anything positive to say about hairpieces or toupees. For men they have been the butt of jokes for wearing a hairpiece or toupee meant everyone could easily tell. The hair quality was poor, the colour was hardly ever matched to the remaining natural hair and the density of the hairpiece or toupee was just too heavy (but then again it had to be in order to hide the underlying base material). Let's not forget that more often than not the hairpiece or toupee would fall off due to very poor attachment techniques. All this put together made the end result highly undesirable for the majority of men everywhere.

If a women wears a wig due to thinning hair or any form of hair loss and makes it public knowledge then usually it is accepted by the wider community. Women have also been luckier than men as wigs are widely used and accepted as fashion accessories, especially for women with African hair. However, poor quality wigs do not enhance appearances of women and they usually end up being just as self conscious as they were with their natural hair problems.

Technology and craftsmanship skills enable us to provide you with the most natural looking hair replacement available. Hair Systems are the latest generation of Wigs and we have produced a comparison chart for you below, or just see the results for yourself (click on Client Photos).

Wigs Hair Systems
Poor quality hair that is dull, brittle, loses colour and has stiff movement.
High quality human hair with the most natural shine, strength, colour retainment and real movement.
Base materials are unnatural looking, heavy and uncomfortable.
Highly transparent skin or lace materials that are thin and lightweight. They enable the scalp to breathe and the hair to move like natural hair.
Heavy hair density to hide underlying base materials.
The highly transparent bases enable very light densities to be used. The bases take on the tone of your scalp making the hair appear to be growing out of your scalp.
Unsightly frontal hairlines.
Lace fronts and skin systems with graduated thickness give the most natural hairlines even under close scrutiny.
Mismatch to natural hair.
All aspects of your hair (including colour) are matched to ensure your hair system integrates with your natural hair. We even match colour blends such as greys.
Poorly fitting due to being mass manufactured and sold off the shelf.
Individually customised and manufactured to fit your scalp.

Please remember that the only real solution for a full head of hair is non surgical hair replacement. Wherever you go for non surgical hair replacement, the solution you will be provided will be a hair system or wig of some sort. hair4all does not hide behind 'glossy' terminology and we do not charge extortionate prices for you to look good.

Base Materials
The foundation which carries the hair replacement. Different materials are used depending on longevity, natural appearance, breathability, etc.
Lace Usage
Lace is a type of base material but it deserves to be discussed in more detail. It can be used for the whole hair system or just at the front to give totally undectable hairlines.
Hair Types
There are different types and qualities of hair that are used in hair systems. Each type has different properties and qualities, and it is a must to use the correct hair type to meet your requirements and give you the look you desire.
Hair Density
See how different hair densities appear with dry hair and wet look, so you can make the right choice to suit your appearance.
Wave Pattern and Curl
We can wave or perm the hair to match your own hair, or maybe you just want to try out a different style and want to specify a wave pattern.
Gray Hair Blending
Gray hair looks amazingly natural and does not have to re-coloured. If you have gray hair then we show you how your hair system will look with different gray hair percentages.
Attachment Techniques
Methods for attaching and securing hair systems for temporary wear, daily wear, and extended permanent wear.
Cranial Prosthesis
Full head systems for full head coverage, typically used during chemotherapy treatment or for other forms of extreme hair loss.
Transplacements
Hair systems for clients who have undergone hair transplant surgery. These hair systems are used until the transplanted hair grows, or to accompany the surgically replaced hair for a fuller appearance.
African Hair Systems
Hair systems with Yaki hair designed especially for clients of African descent.
Custom Hair Systems
A custom hair system is produced using your preferences for base material, lace usage, hair type, wave pattern, curls, and grey hair. It is the culmination of many of the above points and results in a hair system as individual as you are.
Pre-Custom Hair Systems
As a service we do offer pre-made hair systems if you are in a rush to purchase a hair replacement. However, in the longer term we recommend moving to custom hair systems for the best results.
